Chopped fish guide

Find out which fish earn more chopped than sold as they are, and whether fish sauce is cheaper to make or to buy.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Choose the cities

Where you would sell the fish and where you would sell the chopped fish. They can be different cities.

  2. 2

    Set your account

Turn on premium if you have it (sales tax 4% instead of 8%) and sell by order if you list instead of selling instantly. The listing fee is then counted too.

  3. 3

    Check the chopped fish price

It drives the whole table. If the market price is old or missing, type the one you see in game.

  4. 4

    Read the table

For every fish: what it brings sold as it is, what its chopped fish bring, and which is better by how much. “Best first” puts the biggest gains on top; the chips filter freshwater, saltwater, rare fish and the shark.

How much a fish gives

Every fish gives a fixed number of chopped fish, whatever the city:

  • ×6
  • ×14
  • ×30
  • ×200
  • Common fish T1–T8: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 14
  • Rare fish T3, T5 and T7: 10, 20 and 30
  • Shark: 200

Fish sauce and bait

Fish sauce for enchanted food is made at the Cook from chopped fish and seaweed: 15 + 1 for basic, 45 + 3 for fancy, 135 + 9 for special. The calculator shows what each sauce and bait earns when you make and sell it, after returned materials and tax. Fish bait is made at the Cook too, from earthworms you find while harvesting crops: 1 for simple, 5 for fancy, 25 for special bait.

  • ×15+×1
  • ×45+×3
  • ×135+×9
  • ×1
  • ×5
  • ×25

A worked example

A river sturgeon (T8) gives 14 chopped fish. Fish at 4,200, chopped fish at 340, both sold instantly with premium (tax 4%):

Sold as fish
4,032
14 chopped fish
4,570

Questions

Why is a price missing?

Prices on our servers are only kept while they are recent. Some fish are rarely traded in some cities. Type the price you see in game and the table uses it.

Does chopping cost anything?

The table compares only market prices after tax and the listing fee. Chopping at a station may cost a little silver; it is too small to change the answer.

Should I make fish sauce?

Open the Fish sauce tab: each card shows the sale price after tax, the materials after returned ones, and the profit per item and for your amount. The best one is marked green.
