The short answer
For raw speed, open world roaming in high-tier black zone maps and lethal Ancient Lands come out on top. The open world gave the highest total in testing once chest fame books are counted; the Ancient Lands is close behind, more controlled, and can go higher with shrine bonuses.
If you want to keep your gear, solo Duo Depths and Hunter Corrupted Dungeons are slower but safe for what you wear.
How these numbers were measured
The figures below come from a public solo test run in 2026 by the Habonis team: each method was played alone, the fame and session length recorded and turned into fame per hour. We use them because they are the most complete comparison available, and we rank the methods by more than the biggest number.
- Raw fame is what the activity gives you directly.
- Total fame adds the fame books from chests.
- Your own rate depends on how fast your build clears, the map tier and quality, shrines, chest luck and how often other players interrupt you. Treat the numbers as a comparison, not a promise.
Fame per hour, every method
| Method | Raw fame/h | Total fame/h | Rank | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Open world roaming | 2.06M | 3.45M | S | Highest total; T7 quality 4 black zone maps |
| Lethal Ancient Lands | 2.28M | 2.65M | S | Shrines can push it higher |
| Roads of Avalon | 2.64M | 2.64M | A | Tier 6 green chests |
| Knightfall Abbey | 2.63M | 2.63M | A | Not counting the time to find an Abbey |
| Stalker Corrupted Dungeons | 1.97M | 2.37M | B | Total includes chest fame books |
| Mists roaming | 1.04M | 2.08M | A | Best played together with the Abbey |
| Duo Depths (solo) | 1.75M | 1.75M | C | What you wear is safe |
| Hunter Corrupted Dungeons | 1.02M | 1.36M | C | Safe and very repeatable |
| Trio Depths (solo) | 1.24M | 1.24M | D | Weak since the solo changes |
| Solo Dungeons | — | — | F | Not worth it for fame |
Each method in short
- Lethal Ancient Lands (S). About 2.3M raw and 2.65M total per hour. You are in an instance, so a big group rarely rolls over you, but you can still meet players and die. Shrines inside add fame on top. Very strong loot.
- Open world roaming (S). About 3.45M total per hour: camps in T7 quality 4 maps plus crate deliveries, hidden lairs and mobs. The catch is exposure: solos, duos and full groups all pass through, and the rate depends on which camps are up.
- Roads of Avalon (A). About 2.64M per hour from tier 6 green chests, which are easy to find as you move. Other players contest them, and an organized group is very hard to deal with alone.
- Mists and Knightfall Abbey (A). Treat them as one loop: clear Mists camps while you look for an Abbey. Mists gives about 2.08M total, the Abbey about 2.63M. Many players come here to fight, so expect pressure.
- Stalker Corrupted Dungeons (B). About 2.37M total per hour. Full loot, but a mobile build can kite an invader and break the shards to banish them. Better pay than Hunter.
- Duo Depths, solo (C). About 1.75M per hour. Real duos can end your run early. You keep what you wear but can lose your inventory.
- Hunter Corrupted Dungeons (C). About 1.36M per hour. The easiest nonstop farm: invasions are rare unless you queue for them, and losing costs nothing.
- Trio Depths, solo (D). About 1.24M per hour. Built for three players, so Duo Depths is the better solo pick.
- Solo Dungeons (F). Safe once the entrance closes, but far behind everything above.
Safe farming with a fame bonus weapon
In the Depths and Hunter dungeons you keep your equipped gear when you die, so an expensive Awakened Weapon with a +20% PvE fame trait is easier to justify there. The bonus counts on mob fame only, not on chest fame books, and Awakened traits do not work in Hunter Corrupted Dungeons at all.
| Method | Normal total/h | With +20% PvE fame | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duo Depths (solo) | 1.75M | ≈2.10M | Inventory loot can still be lost |
| Hunter Corrupted Dungeons | 1.36M | No effect | Awakened traits are off here |
| Trio Depths (solo) | 1.24M | ≈1.49M | Real trios are still a problem |
Which farm also pays the most silver
| Method | Silver | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Lethal Ancient Lands | Very high | Chests |
| Knightfall Abbey | Very high | Chests |
| Open world roaming | High | Camps and activities |
| Roads of Avalon | High | Green chests |
| Stalker Corrupted Dungeons | Medium | Chests |
| Duo Depths (solo) | Medium | PvE and PvP |
| Hunter Corrupted Dungeons | Low | Chests |
| Trio Depths (solo) | Low | PvE and PvP |
How to choose your farm
- 1
Decide what you can lose
If losing your set would hurt, start with Duo Depths or Hunter dungeons, where what you wear is safe.
- 2
Match the content to your build
Fast AoE clear suits the open world and Ancient Lands; a mobile build with an escape suits Stalker dungeons and the Mists.
- 3
Count chest fame books
In the open world, Stalker dungeons and the Mists, chests add a lot on top of mob fame. Open them.
- 4
Use shrines and bonuses
Shrines in the Ancient Lands and a +20% PvE fame weapon in safe content raise your rate for free.
- 5
Track a few runs
Note fame and time for three or four sessions. Your own numbers beat any table.
